Epiphone "Spartan" Model Archtop Guitar Plan

Richard made my dulcimer dream come true. I have smallish hands and was so pleased to find that I could order a dulcimer that suited my needs and was still as beautiful as any dulcimer I could by off the shelf.
When it arrived damaged by UPS, Richard immediately and graciously repaired the instrument and got it back to me much more quickly than I ever expected. I've been playing it now for a couple of weeks and couldn't be more pleased with its tone, its appearance, and its quality. I would recommend Folkcraft and Richard to anyone who is looking for the dulcimer they've always wanted but didn't know where to buy.
No complaints. Got what I needed and they were quality products.

Detail is very nice! I am currently making templates off the drawing! Will hopefully give the guitar a go at a future date!

“Beginning Lessons for Mountain Dulcimer” is a wonderful introduction for people who want to learn how to play this amazing instrument. After many years of lessons, I find that this is still a valuable reference book for any dulcimer book library.
People come to the mountain dulcimer with different skill levels. For many, choosing the mountain dulcimer is a gentle introduction into the world of playing an instrument. Others have experience with different instruments, and now want to learn to play the dulcimer. This book offers a home to all.
Obviously, this book was written by a person who is both a skilled player and an experienced teacher. The lessons flow from easy to more complex, to build both skill and confidence in the student. Judy has arranged the music in a way that helps the student progress as a musician and learn some important life lessons, including- time management, how to approach and solve problems.
It’s true, the mountain dulcimer is one of the easiest musical instruments to learn, especially if you want to be able to play simple songs quickly. If you want to be able to play more advanced music, it will take hard work and commitment. After you have finished this book, you will have built the foundation that will need if you want to take the next step.

You get both chord numbers as well as actual notes of chords. Sturdy laminated chart but a bit pricey. It’s nice to have this information on a double sided card.

I like these Strap Buttons. The Kids & Grandkids like to pick the color for their Dulcimers.

Richard is always very helpful and kind. The products we bought are just what we need and the prices are great! We highly recommend Folkcraft!
Bing Futch is top notch! His workshops are always interesting and you come away with a sense of having learned something that is very useful. He is a wonderful musician and gives a great concert to end the day.

My husband decided to start learning dulcimer. He selected the FolkRoots H Series dulcimer with Engelmann Spruce/Walnut. He received it today, and just loves it! It's another awesome Folkcraft dulcimer, this being our 4th that we currently own (we have also had a couple others that we've since sold). It's beautiful in its woods and construction and sounds awesome. He's going to love learning and being a proud Folkcraft player/owner. Thanks to the whole Folkcraft crew!

I received my custom dulcimer today and it is absolutely beautiful! The wood, materials, design, craftmanship, and sound are what I'd hoped for, and the process of ordering through Flolkcraft could not have been better. Richard Ash walked me through the options over the phone (I greatly appreciate his guidance) and gave me an update as to when to expect shipping. Excellent communication and craftmanship, and I could not be more pleased. Thank you!
This book contains “…a varied collection that pulls from a wide range of mostly Irish music…”
Most of the tunes contain the words of the tunes.
In all, there are 36 tunes.
The book is spiral bound with quite durable pages. A CD was not included but mentioned on the last page. A really nice collection!

I just love the quick release feature on the straps. For some reason it seems, after I sit down to play dulcimer, there must be at least three reasons I have to get up and do something. Makes it so much easier. It also allows me to have a more secure connection to the dulcimer with the leather strap portion that attaches. It’s just a great idea.

I am looking forward to the clinic with Dave Haas. He is a great instructor and shares many helpful tips for playing the mountain dulcimer. Dave Haas is very experienced and skilled with his knowledge of the dulcimer, and it will be a very worthwhile workshop.
