Folkcraft® FSH Series Dulcimers

The Folkcraft® FSH Series is the modern descendant of the original Folkcraft mountain dulcimer of the early 1970s. Its smaller Kentucky body gives a sweet, clear, delicate tone, the sound of the dulcimers made along the Ohio River Valley in the first half of the 1900s.

The FSH body has 1 3/4" sides and is about 7" wide, a traditional size that's light and comfortable on the lap. You choose the wood, head style and sound holes. It has a 1 3/8" fretboard, geared tuners and frets that run all the way across the fretboard for accurate intonation.

If you love the old-time sound and want a dulcimer that's quieter and sweeter than our California-body models, the FSH is for you. Each one is handmade in our wood shop in Rock, Michigan, starting at $1,195.
