I am a ten year guitar player and not a performer, hobbyist. I had wanted a dulcimer for years, but was pretty certain I would prefer a chromatic fret board. I received an H series yesterday with walnut back and sides, red cedar top, Galax back, with my preferred LR Baggs pickup installed. I have not been able to put it down all day. The tone is exactly what I had hoped for and the sustain is so sweet!! The soundholes are 4 amazing dragonflies (not sure how that is accomplished but someone sure knows what they are doing!). A very personal request by me. I am a bad photographer and want to take her outside for better photos. My guitars are wondering if they will ever see me again! Beautiful instrument Folkcraft staff, one I will cherish and pass it on to my niece, hopefully not anytime soon ha!

Recent hand problems have convinced me to finally learn noter and drone style dulcimer. Shouldn't have waited this long! I already had a couple of noters but wanted to add some to find a good one for me. The Folkcraft noter is nice and light, smoothly carved and feels good in the hand. Hi….I am glad I purchased this pick. I had never seen one like it before and wasn’t sure what I was in for. It is three picks in one, each point a little bit stiffer. I’m not sure why one edge is wavy. The points make picking the strings easier than a regular pick or fingers. Perhaps I should say it produces a stronge, less gentle sound. Anyway, I am glad I bought it.

I purchased this book of Hits of the Beatles because I wanted to play Norwegian Wood. The book also has other songs…like Here Comes the Sun, Hey Jude, Let It Be, Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da, Yellow Submarine to name a few. It is going to be fun learning the songs.
