Delrin Rod, White, 1/8" Diameter

Item Number 2340222

Regular price $6.00

Our acetal copolymer white Delrin rod can be used on the bridges of your hammered dulcimer. Different uses can help you control the sustain of your instrument. Rods are sold in 23 1/2" long pieces.

On a typical hammered dulcimer, you'll see either white (this product) or black (also on the Folkcraft website) Delrin rod used in two places: the nuts, on the outside of your hammered dulcimer, next to the tuning pins; and the bridges, closer to the center of your instrument.

The nut pieces are usually a single piece, between 13 and 23 inches long. The bridge pieces alternate white and black, and are most often one 1 inch long. The 1/8" diameter Delrin rod for hammered dulcimers is easy to cut to length - a sturdy pair of scissors (sharp desk shears, or kitchen shears) works well, or you can use a pair of wire cutters.

Delrin Rod, great product

Bought this to repair knobs on a 1956 Amateur Radio Transmitter. Product arrived fast and worked perfectly for my application!

A very good product.

I was having quite a lot of trouble finding this size Delrin and at a reasonable price. These have worked very well. The fact that they're always in stock is very reassuring. With the fast shipping that these guys offer, it's even better.

1/8" Delrin Rods

These rods were perfect for my intended use! They are light and flexible, yet strong, and are easy to cut and drill and otherwise work with. I'm in Hawaii but shipping was quick and I got them in short order. Thank you, Folkcraft!
