Folkcraft® Mountain Dulcimer Hardware Kit, Design Your Own

Here's everything you need to build your own mountain dulcimer (everything except the wood parts!). This is one easy-to-buy kit of dulcimer hardware. We've put together a package that includes a set of four tuning machines (tuning gears) enough fret wire for a complete instrument, a set of anchor pins to hold the strings, a set of strings, and two pieces of bridge/nut stock. With Folkcraft dulcimer kits, making your own dulcimer is satisfying, relaxing, and rewarding. With our hardware package, you don't have any reason to delay getting started!

We would recommend the open-gear tuners for use with a scroll head dulcimer, and the closed-gear tuners for use with a flat head dulcimer. The anchor pins we include with our customized dulcimer hardware kits are perfect for use with ball end strings, but you can choose loop end (they sound the same!) if that's what you prefer.
