Our molded Delrin mountain dulcimer bridge/nut pieces are bone colored and fit our pre-slotted fingerboards, or any fingerboard with 1/8" wide bridge/nut slots. The grooves molded into the top edge of our bridge/nut pieces are appropriate for both three and four-string dulcimers. These bridge/nut pieces are 1/8" thick, 3/8" high and 1 3/8" wide.

The second photo above (with three blue diagrams) shows some of the  different ways that you can set up our Delrin nut and bridge pieces. In our diagrams, the small circles above the string slots represent the strings.

Dulcimer Nuts and Bridges

I purchased Nuts/Bridges through the site White ones and Brown ones through Amazon, so I have choices. They are made of Delrin and work wonderfully. Delrin is a thermoplastic renowned for its metal-like strength, outstanding dimensional stability, and low coefficient of friction so it is wonderful for this application. Way over priced. Needed them fast, or I would not have purchased. That said, these are nice.

Bone Delrin Nuts and Bridges

Fine product. Looks just like the old traditional bone material, but easier to work with. I like to use this particular Folkcraft product if I purchase an older Folkcraft dulcimer that needs the nut or bridge replaced.

Recently, I bought an old dulcimer that was missing its bridge and nut. The Derlin 1 1/2” ones were a perfect fit. Easy peasy!
