This dulcimer strap gets the job done very nicely. The length is very adjustable; the two-inch width feels very secure wrapped around my midsection; and the quick-release feature is very, very convenient (I wouldn't want a strap without it!). The plastic connectors for the quick-release mechanism seem very thick and robust so I'm not worried about them slipping out during use (or breaking over time). No complaints whatsoever.
I received my new dulcimer about 3 weeks ago. It's so beautiful, a work of art. Butternut and walnut with an ebony fret board. The sound is mellow, bright and loud. Just what I was hoping for. Thank you to the whole crew.

Having said that, the is ideal for all levels of dulcimerists who want to play a baker's dozen worth of songs in multiple parts, such as various melodies, high and low harmony, chord back up, baritone melody and harmony, and bass. As a bonus, the book includes Ellen Pratt's composition and arrangement for Torrents Unleashed in five parts, which is in remembrance of those who were lost in the flood of 2024 in Western North Carolina.
The pace is good and once you download the online files you'll have plenty to keep you busy. Also, I've have sought minimal contact/support from the publisher, Mel Bay, with positive , genuine professional results.

These are great. I replaced the old fashioned tuners which I had to use a screwdriver every time I tuned my dulcimer. Now its easy.
I am just getting started with all of the information in this book. There are many songs in different tunings to help get acquainted with the entire fret board. The recordings are helpful also.

I have a California Body Hour glass shaped Dulcimer, which is wider (8") and deeper than a standard size mountain dulcimer. Both the width and depth would not fit a standard dulcimer case. This case is one of the few that would fit my dulcimer. It is well built. The zippers are heavy duty and move smoothly. There are extra pockets for the extra's you might need, e.g., noter, picks, music, etc. I have extra room and may add some foam padding to keep the dulcimer in place and extra protection. The case itself has heavy vinyl to protect from minor scratches. I am very pleased.
This capo fits my California Body size dulcimer. It is easy to use.
This book is amazing! It shows so many chords you can make on the chromatic fretboard. I doubt it I’ll ever learn all of them 😁
