Folkcraft customers speak out!
from 3214 reviewsI can always rely on Folkcraft to process and ship my order quickly.
My new H Series with the Gadsden Flag insignia etched on the top is wonderful. The construction is solid. Very much a contemporary instrument; the 1.5 and 8.5 frets which none of my other instruments have (really taking some getting used to), the seamless rounded corners, the satin finish, and the incredible detailed engraving. The walnut wood is flawless with an excellent color transition from light to dark going from the top, down the sides to the back. The sound is a strong midrange and very assertive with heavy strumming and plenty audible when fingerpicking. A unique addition and first contemporary dulcimer to add to my small collection. Will take some practice with the new frets, but a joy to play and admire.
This is a great book for beginners and intermediate players! Love the songs!
I am very pleased with the quality of this fret wire.
I play both electric/acoustic and double bass. I also dabble with the acoustic guitar and the banjo. I am very familiar with the chromatic fret board. I also know just enough music theory to be dangerous. I ordered a Folkroots H Series dulcimer from Folkcraft and chose a chromatic fret board. I wanted to have the capability of all of the notes. This book has been a blessing already by helping me to familiarize myself with the layout of the chromatic dulcimer.
When you get your strings from Folkcraft you know they are the correct ones and high quality.
Joe Collins - Christmas With The Mountain Dulcimer
Prefect fit for my new dulcimer.
Bought the Folkcraft teardrop Dulcimer plan and have been building it for a few weeks. Added a Galax back and Journey tek pick up system. Hand carved Viking head. Turned to baritone, A-E-A. Honduras mahogany top, sides and backs. A walnut end and scroll. Mango wood for fret board and accents.
The call strings with different densities produce a good sound
Just starting the baritone dulcimer journey, and this chart is wonderful for that purpose. Would recommend for anyone starting out on baritone dulcimer.
Favorite sing along songs for the Mountain Dulcimer is just what I was needing and is easy to follow.
Adding a strap to my Dulcimer was a game-changer. It eliminated the balancing act and struggles of keeping it still. It worked 100% with my playing style. It's also well made and quite beautiful:-)
Order came promptly.
My wife Arlene recently acquired a used McSpadden. She was using an old heavy 2" guitar strap. The 1" strap with snap buckles on both ends is working great for her.
The perfect solution for those who play mountain dulcimer with a strap. Easy on, easy off.
