Item Number 90218247

Regular price $12.00

We're proud to bring you this Shelley Stevens' "Baker's Dozen" book. This is Volume 4 in the series, and it is full of traditional Shaker melodies. You probably don't know many of these tunes, but you should - they're important to our musical traditions, and likely had a significant influence on later pieces that you do know.

All songs are in DAD tuning, and a surprising number of them are in E minor (capo 1). Each piece includes both standard notation and dulcimer tablature.

Good Old Songs

There are some really good old tunes that my husband’s uncle played on his fiddle that I now enjoy playing. The songs are very easy for me to play and sound nice. If you are more experienced, you can add embellishments as you wish.

Nice Collection of Celtic Music

Great arrangements of some really fun Celtic songs. I was familiar with most of them, but there were a couple that were new to me.

Fun little book

Enjoyable and not too difficult. It has several songs that aren’t in any of my other books.

Nice book

Shelly Steven’s finds nice harmonies. The arrangements are very playable. Intermediate and advanced players will have no trouble adding embellishments. I recommend her Bakers Dozen series and am encouraging my friends to purchase them.
