Folkcraft® Kantele String Set

I changed all my strings, and the loop ends made it easy. However, the 16 gage strings are useless. They're simply too thin. Not enough tension to achieve a loud tone, in fact they rattled. I took them off, as well as the 18s. I replaced them with 20s and now it sounds great.

Purchased a used ten year old Folkcraft kantele with its original strings. Although the instrument held its tuning, a bit mellow in its sound. Acquired a replacement set to "brighten" the sound once again, bringing it closer to the clearer sound it had coming off the bench. Instrument revitalized.
