At first, I didn’t like it at all. I could not press the release clasp. I finally figured out that I need to squeeze the very end by the receptor side…. Not the wide, fat end. I also felt that the width was way too cumbersome because I put the strap behind my back. Now I half sit on the strap. I find that it gives the dulcimer much more stability. For standard dulcimers, I would wholeheartedly choose and recommend this strap. However it is too .much for a small dulcimer like a sweetie or a ginger. Overall it is a very comfortable and classy strap. I
would definitely purchase it again!
