I have a California Body Hour glass shaped Dulcimer, which is wider (8") and deeper than a standard size mountain dulcimer. Both the width and depth would not fit a standard dulcimer case. This case is one of the few that would fit my dulcimer. It is well built. The zippers are heavy duty and move smoothly. There are extra pockets for the extra's you might need, e.g., noter, picks, music, etc. I have extra room and may add some foam padding to keep the dulcimer in place and extra protection. The case itself has heavy vinyl to protect from minor scratches. I am very pleased.

I absolutely love this sturdy gig bag for my teardrop dulcimer! Plenty of nicely padded space for this fragile instrument plus a roomy outer pocket for iPad and other gear. I highly recommend this bag!

No lie. This is a quality bag. Heavy nylon, padding between layers top and bottom, YKK heavy duty zipper. Outside pocket large enough for music books and accessories. A total of 6 D-rings arranged so a shoulder strap (not included) can be attached more toward the center or toward the ends, or to sling the bag vertically over your back. Generous fit for my standard size dulcimer. I took advantage of the custom embroidery option and it’s perfect. Very happy with this purchase.
