Bowed Psaltery Plan

Item Number 1360001

Regular price $20.00

This drawing/pattern is a necessary bowed psaltery plan for anyone wanting to build their very own instrument. This full scale size drawing gives exact dimensions, shapes for every psaltery piece, as well as suggestions for woods to use for building this instrument. Building your own instrument can be very rewarding work, so you will certainly be able to put our plan to good use!

Technical Notes: Please note: The various wood parts that we offer are appropriate for use with this psaltery plan, but you may find that some dimensions don't match exactly. If you use the wood parts that we sell (the same parts we use in our own shop for building Folkcraft psalteries!) you may find it necessary to adjust this psaltery plan to fit the wood perfectly. The intention of this psaltery plan is to offer you a starting point and a set of guidelines for the instruments you will build.

This set of plans is for a 25-string chromatic psaltery which measures about 22 inches in length. This plan is a physical product, printed on paper. It is not currently available as a PDF or download.

The plans are suggested by the SIMSCAL course/class I am currently in. They are well done, have everything you need to build your OM sized guitar
