The ultimate set of dulcimer strings. This is the string set we've been installing on new Folkcrafts since 2012. (It is also the set that Folkcraft owner Richard Ash has on his personal dulcimer!)
Strings in this set:Melody strings (2): .011Middle string: .013Bass string: .024RW
The "RW" stands for Roller-Wound. The roller wound strings have a steel core, with a brass winding. The brass winding has been flattened with rollers, creating a warm sound with very little string squeak.
Great tone! The smooth windings on the bass strings really cuts down on the string squeak and gives you nice smooth slides. I'm very happy with mine!
Ordered several sets of strings. I was wanting to make some changes to some of my instruments. Folkcraft has a selection!!
