Folkcraft® Roller-Wound Brass Wound String, Ball End, .034
Regular price $7.00
Picked up a folkroot rugg n jackel at a flea market in Coventry ct this past summer. Vintage 1983. Cleaned it up and put a set of your strings. Very nice action. Fingers can slide easily no squeaks. Decent sound for its size.
I've played with our club, Blue Grass Dulcimer Club for many years. One day I decided I wanted to add another "sound" to our music. I built my first bass dulcimer, using the roller-wound strings from FolkCraft. Especially with those larger sizes....32, and especially .54 these strings are easier to play and with MUCH less "squeek". I think they're great!
Folkcraft® Roller-Wound Brass Strings, Ball Ends, Pack Of Twelve, .024
I like these strings as they are tightly attached to the ball end. I have a few loose balls that escaped and are hiding in the rug. Will only be found when the vacuum sucks them into the bag.
These are by far the best bass strings I've ever played in my 23 years of dulcimer playing! No squeaks when sliding and they last a LONG time before going dead. I highly recommend them!
