Excellent first book

Super easy to understand and play through. I really appreciated the author's notes on figuring out fingering that works for your hand size and flexibility level, and I really loved learning to play classic tunes!

Joyce Ochs - First Lessons For Dulcimer In DAD Tuning

This book is perfect, I bought it for my 2 grandsons that are interested in learning how to play the dulcimer.

This book offers a nice selection of beginning tunes. The tablature is helpful in learning where on the strings to place the fingers. What I found lacking were suggestions of which fingers to use when forming chords. For this, students of this instrument will need to search on YouTube where there are a number of instructors to help with this.
