This is a great book! But... It isn't easy. Not at all. The arranger, Neal Hellman, is one of the finest performers you'll hear anywhere, and he's good. Really good. These arrangements are at his level. Get this book if you want a challenge, or if you're pretty good yourself. If you're just starting on the mountain dulcimer, then this set of arrangements might not be the right choice for your first or second songbook!

Of course we want to play these songs

Some songs are beyond my ability, but worth it to play the ones I can.

Pretty good

A collection decent rudimentary arrangements from which players can learn the songs, then expand on. NOT all hits. Some aren't worth playing. Still worth the price for the good songs.

Beatles Music

There are many of my favorite songs in the book. It is a little advanced for my level of playing but with a little practice quite doable.

Intermediate level

Most of the songs are not for a beginner, but a few will work. But then again, you might expect that I guess.

Unnecessarily difficult.
