This mountain dulcimer chord chart is written specifically for a diatonic three string (tuned DAD) mountain dulcimer. Our chart includes 35 of the most commonly used chords - pretty much everything you can get from a diatonic mountain dulcimer with the 1.5 and 6.5 frets added.
And that's only the FRONT of this two-page, laminated chord chart. The back tells you the actual notes used to create the chords. Examples: A Major = A, C#, E and F = F, A, C. The back also includes a handy diagram that shows the first 10 frets, with the notes created on each string, at each fret.If you want to play chords on your diatonic mountain dulcimer, then you're going to want this chart. You could probably figure this all out yourself, but this chart will save you a LOT of time and effort, giving you more time to make music on your dulcimer.
I like this chart because it includes the 1+ fret. I find it very helpful.
These Chord Charts are just what I’ve been looking for. I love them!
I had to un-laminate mine and write in full lines over the dots. It just kept confusing me to have the dashed lines when using it.
