Folkcraft® Micarta Nut/Bridge Pieces, Oversized

From the standard blank McCartney Nut pirces, I cut, sanded and filed a new replacement Nut, which lowered the action and improved the intonation for my used dulcimer, based on advice and instruction on various YouTube videos. I am very pleased with the results and can highly recommend the Micarta nut blanks from Folkcraft. The lower action improves the playability with better sound and makes practicing much more fun and entertaining.

The pieces I received were sized perfectly for an 1/8” slot. They were extra long and wide with plenty of latitude for any number of applications. I would buy them again.

I used this to fashion a new nut for an old dulcimer I had. It was easy to cut/file/sand, and the dulcimer sounds good too. It has held up perfectly to all the playing and tuning stress since then.

Worked perfect for a random handmade dulcimer, looks good too.
