Kentucky State Dulcimer Champion

Folkcraft Instruments has sponsored the Kentucky State Dulcimer Championship contest for years now, either directly or through our Louisville dealer, Steilberg Strings.

I got a call in June from Kentucky Music Weekend organizer Nancy Barker, asking if we could donate a "prize" dulcimer for this year's competition. Always glad to help out, I shipped Nancy a really nice dulcimer. Here's a link to the detail page:

After an afternoon of exemplary performances, the three judges (Bing Futch, Stephen Seifert, and Josh Noe - all artists that were part of the 2010 Indiana Dulcimer Festival) came up with a winner:

Bradley Ellis, 2010 Kentucky State Dulcimer Champion

Congratulations to Bradley and to all of the other competitors, too.

We're looking forward to having Bradley and his parents visit our shop one of these days.

Thanks for reading!
