Bring CBS To The Indiana Dulcimer Festival!

In our constant effort to bring the Appalachian dulcimer to a bigger audience, we are asking for your help in bringing the CBS Sunday Morning news show to Woodburn, Indiana for the Indiana Dulcimer Festival on July 23 and July 24, 2011. Sunday Morning has always been an advocate for the arts, and we couldn't think of a better platform to showcase the instrument and the fine people of the dulcimer community.
Help Us Out!
Request that CBS bring Sunday Morning to the Indiana Dulcimer Festival at the CBS Web Form. Or, simply email GeistStories@CBSNews.com. (If you feel strongly enough about getting the Appalachian dulcimer community featured on national television, by all means... do both!)
When filling out the CBS web form, be sure to select "CBS News Sunday Morning" and "Request" before submitting.

What We've Done...
As part of our campaign, we made a “Signature Model” Appalachian dulcimer for CBS Sunday Morning.
The logo for CBS Sunday Morning is a sun. We combined the traditional heart tone hole with a sun as a custom touch to the dulcimer.

We then sent this dulcimer to Folkcraft endorser Bing Futch, who made a video specifically for the people at CBS, complete with a dulcimer rendition of “Abblasen” (the CBS Sunday Morning theme song).

The dulcimer was then shipped to the CBS offices in New York, along with the video and a personalized letter, requesting that CBS Sunday Morning bring their show to the Indiana Dulcimer Festival.
