Folkcraft® Mountain Dulcimer String Set, Baritone, Ball Ends (.014" .014" .022"BW .034"BW)

Item Number 2310024

Regular price $18.00

These Folkcraft brand baritone dulcimer strings sound amazing and are designed for the baritone models, which are typically tuned in the key of A, or a 4th below a standard dulcimer.

Strings in this set:
Melody strings (2): .014
Middle string: .022BW
Bass string: .034BW

The "BW" stands for Bronze-Wound. Bronze wound string have been the "standard" for decades. They have a steel core, with a bronze alloy winding. Bronze wound strings are warm, compared to the brass (roller wound) and stainless-steel wound strings. They do tend to have more finger squeak, though, and they don't last as long as the stainless steel strings.

The tone and clarity you get with these strings is amazing and is sure to provide great feel as well. The string sizes in this set are .014, .014, .022BW and .034BW.

String'em up

Love to review the string set ... But not to that stage of the build yet... Bought the Folkcraft teardrop Dulcimer plan and have been building it over the past few weeks... Adding ideas and things to make it the vision I had... So it's wait and see...
