Lacquering Mountain Dulcimers
July 1, 2022
It finally seems like after three years (nearly) of not much going on, festival-wise - with the notable exception of last fall's Black Mountain Music Fest - that things are finally getting back to the pre-COVID normal. I spent all of last week at Kentucky Music Week, and have a week and a half now to finish off a slew of customer instruments.
And after finishing off another batch of instruments - look at all those MaxDADs! - we will have our first in-the-shop event since the virus started.
Hosting Bing Futch (wow!) as part of our newly-resumed Second Saturday Clinic Series on July 9 is a great way to resume in-person events at Folkcraft. Bing's clinic is already sold out - sorry! But you can still sign up for future clinics by clicking here!
And then the following weekend - July 14-16 - we'll be at the ODPC Funfest in Evart, Michigan. Three events in three weeks and they're all "in-person." It is an exciting time - seeing lots of y'all in person and getting to make music with you.
I've missed seeing my dulcimer friends and last week's KMW festival was a very nice start to the season. Seeing more of you a week from tomorrow in Woodburn - and even more of you the following week in Evart - will be amazing!
Happy playing!
