This past weekend we had the pleasure of hosting our first "in shop" event since the virus hit in early 2020. We had our first Second Saturday Clinic, with Bing Futch as the featured instructor. We started off with a 2-hour jam - which sounded amazing! Guests from Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Illinois, and Michigan came together and made some glorious music. It was a ton of fun.
After the jam, we switched modes to "class taking." Bing led a four-hour clinic, with a variety of subject areas, and thoroughly wore everyone's brains out! We took a lunch break about an hour into the class, to give everyone a chance to relax their brains a bit.
After the class, Bing gave a very informal concert, and then everyone went home. Guests started arriving about 9 AM for the 10 AM jam, and the last of our guests were out of the building by about 5:30 PM.
It was a long day, but definitely worthwhile. It was amazing to see so many friends, both old and new, and we're looking forward to next month's clinic with John and Karen Keane. We'll follow a similar format, but will split the group into two classes, since John and Karen will be teaching simultaneously. Below is a link for the registration page. Bing's clinic sold out, so if you're considering coming out to see John and Karen, be sure to sign up soon!
