Folkcraft: How long have you been playing the dulcimer?

Eric: I started playing dulcimer in July 2025.

Folkcraft: When did you get your first Folkcraft dulcimer?

Eric: My start date coincided with completion of a Folkcraft Black Walnut dulcimer kit that I purchased and built in July 2025. This was my first dulcimer. The kit morphed into a fine instrument, with a beautiful sound and wonderful playability. The ‘fish leaping out of water’ sound hole design came from my wife.

Folkcraft: Where do you enjoy playing your dulcimer?

Eric: I enjoy playing dulcimer at home, sometimes playing a duet with my wife, who plays mandolin. Our favorite songs are traditional Celtic and Irish tunes.

Folkcraft: What do you like to do besides playing your dulcimer?

Eric: In addition to dulcimer, I play drums and tenor guitar. Other than music, I enjoy traveling with my wife, ringing church tower bells, and woodworking (thus the Folkcraft dulcimer kit).
