If you plan on using your dulcimer for more than just decoration, then you are going to need some form of protection when you take your dulcimer on the road. This black carrying case not only keeps your instrument from getting scratched up, but also contains soft padding to protect the instrument from dents and dings. Our case fits nearly all teardrop and hourglass dulcimers and is equipped with a pocket to carry accessories such as picks and capos. A detachable shoulder strap is also included.

This soft case is the EXACT SAME CASE as our part number 2310015, but we're offering it at a special price since it features an embroidered "FolkRoots Dulcimers" logo on the pocket.

This dulcimer case is handmade in Woodburn, Indiana in the Folkcraft Instruments workshop.

Our gig bag measures 42 inches by 12 inches (exterior), and will fit an instrument which is up to 38 inches long, 8 inches wide, and 4 inches deep (including the fretboard and machine heads).

I am happy with my soft sided carry case. It has a roomy front pocket to keep all mt accessories organized and handy.

A nice carrying case

I purchased a used dulcimer that didn’t come with a carrying case so my search for one led me here. I like this one very much. It is light but the padding is firm so the instrument is nicely protected. I have a dulcimer that is 36” long by 8” wide and it fits comfortably inside. The exterior pocket provides ample room for all my picks, capos with space left over for things like phone, wallets, etc.. The shoulder strap can be adjusted. The case was nicely packaged and arrived on schedule.

Exceptional Quality

Very nicely made carrier, fits my dulcimer perfectly, has an extra pocket to carry needed items, handle is on nice and tight, zipper is high quality and works very smoothly, the material is exceptional and I have no doubt this carrier will last forever! I am extremely pleased with my carrier and the lesson book I purchased from this company. Truly nice folks to deal with as well. I highly recommend this company for such needs!!
