New dulcimer photos!

Good morning, y'all!

You may remember we used to make bowed psalteries? We discontinued making them back in 2016. But... A few weeks ago, Aaron and Bonnie got the last four cleaned up and strung, and they're on the website. At a huge discount. Two standards, two baritones. Get them while they last!

Some day we'll start making them again, but for now, our focus is clearly on mountain dulcimers. Speaking of which...

Do you remember this photo from last week?

Well now those four fretboards are attached to bodies, and the first two bodies have started getting lacquer. Here's a quick YouTube video showing further progress:

I'm going to wrap up this newsletter with a "staff feature". As you all know, Folkcraft Instruments is a huge, giant corporation, with factories scattered across the globe. Or not. We have a total staff of five. Three in the wood shop, two in the sewing room. (Yes, we have a sewing room - we make all of our own dulcimer cases here in Woodburn, Indiana.)

Our sewing room is led by Pam Parks, and a LOT of you have her work protecting your instruments. Pam's a fine sewer, and a great asset to our company. And...

She's a GREAT karaoke singer!

Next week, I should have a few instruments from the triple-stripe fretboard set ready to demo for you, but meanwhile, thank you for reading!

Sincerely,

Richard Ash
