I already gave my review of the Folkcraft Custom Dulcimer, so this review is strictly for the Fishman Prefix Pro Blend pickup. Richard installed this on my dulcimer a few years after I had gotten my custom dulcimer. He did a nice job and was very accommodating to get it done for me. The pickup itself is awesome, and worth every penny. I love its acoustic tone and the possible adjustments. Richard even sent me home with good suggestions and a written sheet to help with using the pickup. Whether you order this with your custom build or choose to get it later, it's a good pickup to have.
I love the selections and the arrangements. My favorite book! If you can only have one, choose this one.

I’ve tried using several different styles of pics since I started playing the dulcimers ago. At a workshop, years back, I listened to the pic I had been using, and a friend gave me one of these little yellow marvels. I love the clean crisp sound they offer and that each point of the triangle has a different thickness and can adjust the sound of the strike on the string. Since then I have used nothing else and will continue to keep plenty in stoc to offer a friend who may need one.
The instrument is a thing of beauty. Action is outstanding and a pleasure to play. Folkcraft shifted it to bass at no extra charge (and also sent the original nut, bridge and strings). I just hope I can learn to play well enough to deserve it. A true pleasure to business with these folks.
This is a great book to advance our music quest of becoming better dulcimer players. This book helps us to understand the complexities of expanding beyond the melody line.
Dave's books never disappoint. I picked up this one to further my dulcimer journey, after attending Dave's workshops at the Evart FunFest. He represents Folkcraft well and has a great way to teach, live or through his books.
So many times in this book. If you only had this one tune book it could keep you entertained for a good while! A wonderful way to sharpen your dulcimer playing.
