Folkcraft® Black Walnut Scroll Head, Teardrop, For 1 1/2" Wide Fretboard

I purchased the plans for the Simple Dulcimer, the walnut fretboard, the walnut scroll head and a package of hardware. I had to modify the plan slightly to fit the parts, but it all went together nicely. It looks and plays very good. Everything I bought was great quality. I made the back and sides walnut and top cedar.

I repaired an old dulcimer using supplies from “Folkcraft”. I am very happy with how it turned out.

VERY HAPPY WITH THE ORDER - WILL PROBABLY ORDER THIS WOOD AGAIN.

I asked Richard if he would laser cut his new "Live free or die" sound holes on some nice Western Red Cedar for me. I thought they would make a nice teardrop dulcimer. We call this "Albino" Western Red Cedar since it is a very light color to make the laser etchings stand out better. I like it and am half way thru the build already. Ready to pound in frets then glue up and sand the edges. A pic will be in my bio when Haley puts it up on the Folkcraft web page in a few days.
