Join in the fun with Larry Conger on this special Second Saturday Clinic hosted by Folkcraft Instruments. We'll have a jam at 10:00, followed by a clinic starting at noon. We'll take a lunch break around 1:00, and resume the clinic after eating.

The clinic is "hands-on" - bring your mountain dulcimer!

After we wrap up the class at about 4:00, you'll be serenaded with a 30-minute performance by our world-class instructor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Location? Folkcraft Instruments Concert Hall, 22133 Main St., Woodburn, Indiana, 46797. We're next door to the Woodburn Post Office, and across the street from a liquor store.

Jam? The jam starts at 10:00 AM - it is a standalone event. The jam isn't part of the clinic, so if you're traveling from a distance, you won't miss any instructional material. But jams are fun, so definitely be here if you can.

Registration? We're limiting registration to 30 guests. Please sign up early - I expect we'll "sell out" on a lot of our Clinics. If you have to cancel, it isn't a problem, but please let us know sooner rather than later. For a full refund, we ask you to let us know no later than midnight (US Eastern time zone) on the Wednesday before the clinic. That'll give us two days to try to fill your seat.

Lunch? Nothing fancy - we'll generally make sandwiches, have a side or two, and bottles of water handy. It'll taste good, and get you through the day without a growling stomach. Lunch is included in your registration fee.

Points? Registering online will allow you to use points (Folkcraft Picking Points, our rewards program) from previous purchases to pay for your registration. And your online registration earns you more points for future products and events at Folkcraft.

Concert? Informal - generally sitting up close and personal with the artist, enjoying some nice music and camaraderie. The concert isn't part of the Clinic, and is free and open to the public.

Skill level required? So long as you know the basics about dulcimer - a bit about reading tablature, how to use a pick, how to tune the instrument, that kind of thing - you'll have fun and learn something new. There are newer players in every clinic, as well as highly skilled musicians, looking for one more "nugget" of information to make them into even better players.

Second Saturday is Stupendous!

I have been blessed to attend a few of these workshop sessions- I always leave with new information and a new skill to use and try. The workshops are informative, fun and challenge me. The concert is an excellent way to end the session. Thank you for finding amazing musicians to share their knowledge with us.

Another Winner!

The second Saturday clinic with Larry Conger was the second one I have attended this year and it didn't disappoint! What a fun jam, and Larry gave a terrific workshop. I brought a "newbie" to the dulcimer world with me, and she agrees with me; It's a wonderful experience. So worth the time, effort and cost. Thank you Folkcraft for having great instructors/entertainers and hosting a great venue! I wish I could attend them all!

Saturday Climic with Bing Futch

This is the first event of this type I have ever attended. It was well organized and even though I am an Inexperienced dulcimer player
I still enjoyed and learned a lot. Everyone was friendly and welcoming to all levels of Dulcimer ability. Folkcraft is an excellent store/factory offering many instruments and choices. They were all beautifully made.
Bing Futch was as incredible as I had been told and I was so glad I came.
Thank you.
